I do like a massive sound that pops with energy, crisp synths, punchy beats and momentum.
Great effort, I bet someone could add a killer rap to this, not that it needs it!

ColorfulLink12 responds:

Thanks man, I'm still working on some other projects and learning new things about music production and mixing, but still thanks for the review :p

It's not only that you have clearly spent a colossal amount of time on this project, but you've taken enough care throughout that time to really polish it to be very listenable and enjoyable. I briefly played MH Tri and recognized some of the music in this piece. I really liked it, and as for the parts I was not familiar with, well it kept me very interested and I continued to enjoy it throughout! You Get my 5 stars for a number of reasons, effort put in, resulting quality and the fact that you have chosen to recreate music from Monster Hunter!

Step responds:

Thanks a lot man! There aren't that many Monster Hunter remixes out there which is a shame.

I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

Perhaps try dropping everything except bringing in a big bass sound, then after 2 beats or 1 bar, bring in the drums again with a crash, and any amount of the original melodies that existed before in this clip. Also listen to dubstep by other artists and you may be inspired. feel free to check mine out too, best of luck!

SirSirius responds:

Well yeah that's what i tried. Nothing except a drum pattern and a fat bass sound directly after the intro (instant at 00:55), sounds crappy, no matter how i tweak massive and no matter what tone i use...
Is the buildup just so bad that it has to sound crappy? :(

10 for good reasons

10 for effort. 10 for dynamics within the soundtrack. 10 for using orchestration to the point of live instrument orchestra realism. Fantastically done piece of music man. Great job!

XayberOptix responds:

Thanks! I am really honored!

Fantastic production

10 and 5 for you man, You gave this piece dynamics, variety, originality and a polished feel that is professional. It's like Album Leaf except actually better!
Big respect

Oggy-cheese responds:

Thanks! Heard a couple of Album Leaf tracks and really liked them so it's nice to be compared to them. I'm definitely the most proud of this song so far, it's my most polished by far as you say. Thanks :)

Very good

A variety of badass breaks, basslines and leads. Really good man!

FXAudioRage responds:

Thanks so much..
I hope everyone else likes it.

Proper

Big respect, this is so original and catchy, those 2 things don't come together often these days. May I remix this lol?

MacMelto responds:

knock yourself out

Really great sound

The singing is pretty spot on and fits great but yeah my fave thing about this is it's melodic progression and also its spaced mix is really pro sounding - like it's been mixed with spacial awareness Something I struggle with is getting a clean mix, Everything I make sounds too busy most of the time hehe so I aspire to create a mix similar to this at some stage. I notice there is no bass line to speak of, yet it still sound awesome! This is unprecedented! Nice upload :3

Maverlyn responds:

*Smiles* Thank you so very much!

this is the song i've put down most effort on even tho it's fairly simple because i had to search for 3 days to find any matching instruments to go with the voice and starting strings.

As usual this is far from finished, but keep the hopes up and you might be in for a treat real soon.

ps. you have some awsome music yourself :D

Original and nice

It's really a very nice melody, and I think it would definitely benefit from use of dynamics, or in other words, softer and louder notes, some more pronounced volume and some less, but that'd be hard without a touch sensitive midi keyboard so I understand the potential issue. Nice idea hope to see it develop more, cheers

demsis responds:

Yeah, It never occurred to me giving it dynamics, I suppose i've never tried it before. And more fluid/inconsistent tempo changes would have done it better. Although I'm not sure if I would bother spending too much time on this one.

Yes, It surely is an interesting melody. Thanks for listening.

Pretty good :)

The drums are bangin man, I just think the bass could be more bad ass ^^
The bit in the middle is a little too syncopated to feel any groove, although it gets quite ferocious toward the end which I like :P and bringing in the full low strings really fills it out well! Just went from 8 to 9 out of ten coz of the later section :P
Keep it up man :)

TheElementalProdigy responds:

I Thought The Bass Sounded Sounded Pretty Good In The Process Of Creation But I Guess Not...
Thanks Anyway.
